I thought Czechia had this one in the bag considering that they literally beat Switzerland 7-0 in the 2025 Women’s World Championships but Switzerland battled back from a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3 in an 8 round shootout. Definitely my favorite game of the Olympics so far.
It was tough because I was really rooting for Czechia but hopefully this just gives them motivation going into the knockout stage.
