Canada won 4-0, shot differential 55-6
but Switzerland kept it to 1-0 through 2 periods; 3/4 of Canada’s goals came on the power play
Swiss goalie Saskia Maurer was the story of this game; she wasn’t even supposed to be Switzerland’s #1 goalie; the other goalie had norovirus
Despite being the lowest ranked team in group A, Switzerland pulled off a gutsy 4-3 win against Czechia, coming back from a 3-1 deficit and winning after an 8-round shootout. Watch my game recap.
