Tue, Apr 21: New York defeats Toronto 1-0 in OT; New York eliminated from playoff contention
📍 Toronto
Watch my game recap. This game was scoreless through 60 and Sceptres goaltender Raygan Kirk was absolutely phenomenal. The Sirens needed a regulation win to remain in playoff contention. Even after they were eliminated, they went out and won in OT. That’s true resilience.
This one really hurts. The Sirens were on a mission to change the reputation of their team and their goal was to make the playoffs. It sucks because if Kalty and Girard were healthy I really think this team could have made the playoffs. From the Madison Square Garden win to their crazy comebacks late in the season, I think the Sirens can be really proud of what they accomplished this year.
PS. Congrats to Megan and Nina who got engaged at the Sceptres pride game!
Tue, Apr 21: Vancouver defeats Montreal 4-3; Vancouver earns 3 gold plan points & electric late comeback for Montreal
📍 Vancouver
Watch my game recap. The Goldeneyes were up 4-0 in the third period and as a Torrent fan I was crashing out. Montreal Victoire pulled their goaltender and Hayley Scamurra scored a hat trick in under 3 minutes to make this a 1-goal game. The Goldeneyes were able to hold on to their lead and win 3 Gold Plan points!
Wed, Apr 22: Ottawa defeats Boston 2-1 in OT; Ottawa’s fate to be decided on Saturday
📍 Lowell
Ottawa needed a regulation win to secure a playoff berth, but they had the tall task of defeating Boston at Tsongas center, where they had been undefeated all year. Brianne Jenner scored the game-winning goal for the Charge! Watch the game highlights.
Wed, Apr 22: Seattle defeats Minnesota 5-4; Seattle regains lead in Gold Plan race!
📍 Seattle
Watch my game recap! The pressure was on Seattle to win this game after Vancouver surpassed them in Gold Plan points the night before. Honestly I was feeling a little dejected before this game, but this game really gave me hope for the Seattle Torrent. I BELIEVE IN THE SEATTLE TORRENT! This was a really fun back and forth game and Torrent held on to their lead to regain the Gold Plan points lead!
📈 Standings

x= playoff spot clinched, MAX = max points (PTS + 3*GR), GP= games played, GR= games remaining, PTS=points (determines standings), W=Win (3 points), OTW=overtime win (2 points), OTL=overtime loss(1 point), L=loss (0 points), PCT=points percentage, GF=goals for, GF=goals against.
Final Playoff Spot
The final playoff spot is still up for grabs and will be decided in the Toronto vs Ottawa game on Saturday. The tiebreaker is regulation wins, so if Toronto defeats Ottawa in regulation, they would secure the playoff spot.
First Place
Boston now sits only one point behind Montreal for the first place spot and the ability to choose your opponent. However, Montreal holds the tiebreaker over Boston (regulation wins / goal differential), so Boston would need to earn 2 more points than Montreal earns on Saturday to clinch first place.
Gold Plan
The current Gold Plan standings are as follows:
SEA Torrent: 4
VAN Goldeneyes: 3
NY Sirens: 0
Goldeneyes hold the tiebreaker over Sirens so the highest draft pick the Sirens can get is third.
🗓️ Quadruple header preview

Which game should you watch?

Sat, Apr 25: New York vs Boston
📍 Lowell; 12 PM EST / 9 AM PST
Sirens objective: Win Gold Plan points and end the season on a high note. The highest draft pick they can earn is the third pick due to Vancouver and Seattle leading in Gold Plan points.
Fleet objective: Clinch first place which would give them the ability to choose their opponent. They must earn 2 more points than Montreal earns on Saturday (must finish one point higher than Montreal).
Game preview: The Sirens have had very little success against the Fleet; they haven’t defeated the Fleet yet this season OR last season. (head to head stats, legend) Yet, despite this, Fleet vs Sirens games tend to be pretty spicy.
365’s prediction: Sirens win 3-2 in OT. This is the Sirens’ last demon to slay this season.
⭐ Sat, Apr 25: Toronto vs Ottawa; One Game will decide the Final Playoff Spot
📍 Ottawa; 2PM EST / 11 AM PST
Sceptres objective: Win in regulation to make it to the playoffs; otherwise miss out on the playoffs for the first time in team history.
Charge objective: Make the playoffs. Charge will make the playoffs as long as they do not lose in regulation.
Game preview: The last meeting between these two teams was a huge upset where Gwyn Philips made a 42-save shutout [watch my game recap]
365’s prediction: Charge wins 1-0 in regulation. Goaltending for both teams has been great recently so I expect this to be a low-scoring affair. Ottawa Charge has been playing some of their best hockey and I think Gwyn Philips can save them. But unfortunately we have seen that not losing in regulation to make it to the playoffs can be very hard…
Sat, Apr 25: Vancouver vs Minnesota
📍 Ottawa; 7PM EST / 4PM PST
Goldeneyes objective: Earn gold plan points to secure the first overall draft pick
Minnesota objective: Prepare for playoffs, no real stakes since they cannot move into 2nd place
Game preview: The Frost has defeated the Goldeneyes in all meetings so far this season, but the Goldeneyes definitely have more to play for.
365’s prediction: Goldeneyes win 4-2 in regulation. I feel like the Goldeneyes are on a roll right now.
Sat, Apr 25: Seattle vs Montreal
📍 Seattle; 10PM EST / 7PM PST
Torrent objective: Earn gold plan points to secure the first overall draft pick
Victoire objective: Clinch first place which would give them the ability to choose their opponent. Will need a win of any sort but may be fine to lose if Boston loses their game earlier in the day.
Game Preview: Torrent won their first ever meeting against the Victoire at home in CPA but lost twice to Victoire in Laval. It’s rumored that Marie-Philip Poulin will be back for this game! I can’t believe we get to see Knight vs Poulin at Climate Pledge Arena. We used to pray for times like this!
365’s prediction: Torrent wins 2-1 in OT. This is literally just me being delusional. Actually I think Victoire will probably shut Torrent out. But if Torrent is going to win I think they will need to play a low-scoring game and get great goaltending.
